I get his point but wouldn't they have to not work for like 3 weeks? And they kind of need their full lung capacity. And there would be no way to correlate who should get it and when

Card Dealer at Casino like me. 2feet away from customers. Rotate table every 30 mins. Have about 200+ breathing on me daily. Not sure why casinos haven’t been closed.

Is that on a reservation? You should have some great immunity by now

You can’t have immunity to something your body has never seen before, that’s not how antibodies work.

It’s why people who come in contact with uncontacted people (like the Sentinelese) put them at such risk. We have antibodies that they don’t.

Casinos are way worse than hospitals, yes. Almost every healthcare professional I’ve ever met agrees with that notion.

Most places are worse than hospitals tbh.

Hospitals do a lot to keep a clean, disinfected environment and staff and visitors are usually cognizant of the presence of infectious organisms.  PPE is available, isolation precautions, hand sanitizer outside of every room, etc.

As a counter argument to the Italy-US metric, the US population is 5x what Italy is. Doesn’t the similar trajectory infer that the US is containing it far better so far? I’m also aware our end number will far succeed that of Italy, based on population.

Nor really, our numbers are honestly irrelevant as we aren’t testing.

We’re testing less frequently and have as many confirmations.

Long story short, it would seem the idea by some was to limit testing as “you can’t have positive tests if you don’t test anyone”, at least until the last few days.  I mean, they literally turned down test kits so they could “develop their own”, as if that’s a necessity.

Since it's not announced yet, and I don't like to divulge specifics of my job over the general forum, I won;t say who, but my job is mandating that stores close their public dining areas by COB Friday, and to follow all state/local guidelines if requested earlier.

That’s cool, but why not now?

There’s clearly an issue, what reasonable excuse for the delay?

Do you get any pay?

For 2/3 of my jobs, no. I have savings so I'll be fine. But I know many people who do not.

There's a chance my 3rd job will offer some pay opportunities. But they don't have any guidance yet afaik on that.
