I didnt say its logical. I said it's what potus and congress have indicated they will do.

They've totally done what they've said, too. I mean, remember when everything opened back up on Easter Sunday?

That was awesome.

It's not MY thinking. I'm repeating to you what had been said and done on the matter. As it stands today, there is no mail after june. If you count on anything to be done , done right, or make sense by THIS governmebt... it is YOU who is not thinking straight.  Evidence is all around you.

We. Aren't. Shutting. Down.

Just stop.

It’s not your thinking, but it’s your belief that nothing will change on the matter in two months.

Okay, then.

On a much lighter note I could have used this stimulus money to significantly reduce my credit card balances but I decided to do my duty as an American  and stimulate the economy by buying this instead...

I told my wife I was going to buy one of these: https://www.sawstop.com/upgrade?gclid=Cj0KCQjw4dr0BRCxARIsAKUNjWTE3c4uDQpnTe3tktszN2MEemWv1KD0bFYZOMZNXFvH0Urh3uSSqVIaAirKEALw_wcB

Told her they're $4k, and she said that's a lot more than your $1200. Who taught her math?

I work for the USPS. We aren't running out of money. They're trying to ask for a bailout in order to give us hazard pay.

Just talked to the deacon at my church who was a regional supervisor for years here and in Kansas City, and that is exactly what is occurring.  No danger in shutting down, it's just political posturing.

Also, not sure where a certain poster is getting their source from.  I found an NBC News article saying that USPS will run out of cash in September quoted from the postmaster general.  If that's not knowing how the sausage is made, I don't know what it.

This is basically it. We're hurting, sure, and getting the Senate to pass this recent act that the House agreed on which would stop the post office from having to pre-fund retirement would immensely help us out...we aren't going anywhere. We're too vital.

No idea what I’m going to buy with my stimulus check. Might keep it in savings and then use it to get another tattoo when all this is over.

I paid off a few CCs with low balances, few hundred bucks. Bought a pair of sunglasses, a pair of shoes, some toys for the kids. Big job is to finish up the upstairs home gym - getting a TV to mount so we can Roku Les Mills On Demand, getting a few loose weights, getting some floor mats that can be wiped down. We have cardio equipment up there, so this will finish the room out.

That'll make sure that nobody goes upstairs for a few months...

Yeah, and I can definitely tell you my volume is down, as is my grandmothers.  She's gone almost 10 days without getting her mail, and I picked it up today and the box wasn't even full.  Usually she has so much political mail and donation requests they give her a full basket.

My mail, outside of baseball cards (from Topps and eBay/Twitter buys) is also way done.  I'm the leader of our Knights of Columbus council, and just about every state level event is cancelled until further notice.  Because a lot of members of the Knights are older and not technologically savvy, they send EVERYTHING through mail, and a lot of it is weighted because it's pages of stuff.  Now that has all drawn to a close, and I am sure a lot of other groups, churches, etc are in the same boat.  At work, my location is closed for now and all of the invoicing is stopped, so little mail.    Volumes will pick up once things get rolling again.

I'm getting the new Weber pellet smoker- https://www.amazon.com/Weber-22510001-SmokeFire-Fired-Pellet/dp/B07XV2DN8H/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=weber+pellet+grill&qid=1587000215&sr=8-4

A close friend of mine and his fiance both work for an ACE Hardware franchisee and I'm getting that sucker at a steep discount.  Probably at 2/3's of the price.  Not sure what else I'm going to do with the rest.
