It’s not really that tricky, you just carry over the amount you’re under the cap to the next year. This is how we’re going to be able to afford all of the contracts currently on the books. Wilson and Lance seemed like such obvious busts to me. Either the Jets or 49ers should have taken Fields. He was a late 1st round/mid 2nd round developmental QB who got drafted #3 overall because media hype from being a small school 'unknown' QB. He barely played any qb in his life going back to high school. You don’t learn to play qb in the pros. He should have been a mid round development project at best.
