Not really.  There's not much time left and the Raiders needed a TD.  Manuel put the ball in a spot where Cooper had a chance for it.  Worst case scenario right there for the Raiders should have been an incomplete pass.  Cooper can't let the DB get that interception.

Over a minute to go, no need to toss that into double coverage for a risky play. Not like it was 4th down or 20 seconds to go.

Engh.  I praised his instinct, I just thought he tackled like Sean Considine.

Nah not talking like that. They made some thread pretending he was great because they thought Twitter guys read this site and stole all their opinions IDC if anyone had issues.

It wasn't double coverage, though.  When that ball was in the air at it's peak, literally only Amari Cooper or Justin Simmons had a chance at it.  1:26 is not much time, especially for a back-up QB.  He gave Cooper a 50/50 ball and Cooper has to either make the catch or bat the ball down.  Manuel put faith in him and Cooper let the DB intercept the pass.

/Why we trying to pretend like Amari had all that great of hands to begin with?  I mean, yes, the issue right now is currently exacerbated due to psychological issues (he's in his own head), but even when confidence wasn't an issue, his hands were average-at-best.

Niners are gonna end up winning this because it's going to take them so long to kick that 5th FG that they're going to leave less than a minute on the clock for Zona (who will still technically get a possession in OT).  It would be brilliant strategy if we didn't know that SF was actually trying their damned to score a TD on this drive.

1:26 is plenty of time to get down the field and not desperation time. It was a stupid decision to make such a risky throw with the clock and down being what they were. Not sure why anyone would try to defend that decision.
