ACO
Not a bad deal. A zoom backup QB. I would do it too. Stay home and make $12K a week to log into a video chat.

Forge
The eagles are so bad at managing the cap. I would have been happy to do that for 25% of what he's making
kingseanjohn
That man is living the dream. 48k a month to stay at home and maybe go play some football at some point.

Im guessing they still want him to help mentor Carson and now Jalen. So this is the best way to do it.
SteelKing728
Give him a few years. He'll eventually make it to the 53 man squad.

This pretty much puts an exclamation mark on the weirdness that is 2020
Nabbs4u
All jokes aside. Curious what would occur in your Franchises if say the QB "room" , not just 1 tested positive say the Thurs/Friday before a Game? If anything this actually makes sense from a Covid 2020 perspective. Lock in a QB who already knows your Offense, can be kept apprised of any changes or additions to the playbook instead of scrambling 12th Hour to find a FA QB that 1) has to pass protocol before even suiting up and 2) most likely knows absolutely nothing about your Offense/Personel? In other words ,the polar opposite of Josh McCown. Edited September 8, 2020 by Nabbs4u
SkippyX
This is a smart move. Don't be too harsh on him for his bad play in the Seahawks playoff game. He shredded his hamstring a few plays in but they had no backup so he just played on one leg. This is a COVID insurance policy and an extra coach for Hurts, Wentz, and Sudfeld if they never cash it in.
Tugboat
One notch above that time the Jaguars called Todd Bouman to come back for a bit, and he was literally just driving around on a tractor when he took the call or whatever. But actually yeah, probably not a bad idea to have a guy sorta "locked in" as your experienced veteran safety net who could probably still at least kinda play, if Covid starts wreaking havoc on the season or something. Especially since he'll be isolated from the actual team and practice squad.
