The Beekeeper is pretty much exactly the kind of movie you'd expect Jason Statham to star in, except I really enjoyed the background lore and Statham makes the gimmick work. Absolutely brutal, but managing to not go too far to where it's distracting. I would actually love to see this universe expanded on and brought back for some more movies. Very reminiscent of the first John Wick, but with a higher moral compass. I enjoyed the hell out of this, and it knew exactly the kind of movie it was. This movie would fit right in with 80's action movie classics. Great supporting cast, Josh Hutcherson is great as a smarmy bastard a hole villain, Jeremy Irons is under utilized, but he is still good, and the rotating cast of thugs are enjoyable. A- I watched this on a plane, and it is the perfect plane movie. The number of bee puns that are spoken throughout the entire film is just so ridiculous.

Dude's a top tier actor who after the success of Taken(which he was great in to be fair) just seems to have given up on producing quality work. I dunno if he just enjoys these recycled type of roles or if he just does it for the money or what. Oh well I suppose. Im still waiting for the real Darkman

Im amusing myself imagining that this is a fmv game and upon the dialouge prompt you dont make a choice so your protagonist remains silent Also, i can totally see some of the action scenes at QTEs

Also, if you like Se7en, check out Zodiac. It's even better imo.
TakeTheBallDeep
Went to Horizon: An American Saga (No spoilers) Kinda went how I read it did so wasn't surprised with that. Enjoyed the ending and I think Part 2 (4 Parts total) will determine how much I actually like this
thebestever6
I watched my heart wont beat unless you tell it too and I really enjoyed it. I'm sick of the genre that's covered in it but it has a fresh kind of style to it. You're invested in all of the characters there are moral dilemmas. That acting is excellent if you liked the movie let me in you'll like this one.
D82
Watched GVK: The New Empire That was...awful. What was the point of Kong getting a tooth cap? Shimu and Scar King were such weak villains and honestly felt like they posed zero threat for as "hyped" up as they were. And can we for the love of god get rid of the kid?

Bowler1215
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F was good. Eddie Murphy was good in it, and he does some of his fast talking to get info and/or get into things. Good to see him, Rosewood and Taggart team up again. The plot was predictable. Once a character was on screen, I immediately knew they'd be the villain. Might have been neat if they pulled the rug out from under us, making another person the villain. Still, there's some good humor and action in it. 6/10 Original Star Wars trilogy(A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi) great movies that I need to watch more often. Infinity/10 Back to the Future trilogy Original is one of the best movies ever infinity/10 2 and 3 are mindless fun. Never boring, and it's fun to see how crazy the timelines can get messed up. Fun and enjoyable. 7/
thrILL!
Good Will Hunting With the commentary track w/ Ben Affleck, Matt Damon & Gus Van Sant which is outstanding. You could tell that Ben Affleck was going to be a great director from the way he talked about the process of making this movie.

And beyond that, the cinematography choices were baffling. Why are half of the medium, or closer, shots when in the hollow earth through a fisheye lens but the other half aren't? It was disorienting and looked awful.
