You're never paying for future value on contracts. Is Chris Paul worth $40+ million right now? Hell no.

His first contract from ATL was fair and stupid for the Suns not to match.

The Suns aren’t trading for Paul if they’re not sending out 50+ mil. Whether he’s worth it we’ll see. It’s funny because everyone ripped the Paul extension like they did the JJ deal ten years ago and both teams got rid of them fast. If the Suns signed Paul to $85 mil for two years they’d get ripped. Joe signed his deal when he was 29. Not really comparable. Joe was just a workhorse and they rode him into the ground.
Tyronnosaurus
Joe Johnson was my yearly dream of being Dirk’s #2 in Dallas in his prime years.

TheRealMcCoy
Honestly I don’t even feel like I got to really enjoy winning the championship cause the offseason was so short and no parade, but I’m glad the NBA is about to be back. I need something to take my mind off how trash the Eagles are.
TheRealMcCoy
Honestly happy to have him back. I know he won’t contribute much at all on the court, but we might not have won the title this year without him. He was like the vet that kept the team together in the bubble. Also, if you told me years ago that Jared Dudley would’ve been instrumental in the chemistry of a LeBron/AD led team I would’ve probably laughed in your face. I do kinda wish he would’ve just came back as an assistant coach and left another roster spot open. As it stand I think we have 1 roster spot open to make it to 14 players. Don’t think we can afford a 15th spot at least to start the season. Would’ve been nice to get 2 of either another back-up center, emergency PG, or defensive wing. Not sure which we need more now. Probably a defensive wing I’m guessing.
