Dear students, I'm writing you to reinforce the expectations set forth at the beginning of the year, and to remind you that being professional works both ways. While I don't teach math, I can assure you that a lone student showing up for two classes would be unacceptable at any level or percentage, as most National League pitchers hit for a higher average than class attendance today. While I'm sure you don't intend to come across as irresponsible, selfish, apathetic, and indifferent, that's precisely the message that you are sending. Contrary to popular opinion, I also have a life outside of school, and while I enjoy very much having the opportunity to mold your minds, this morning was a complete waste of all of our times. I'll leave you with this homework assignment, which I expect you to listen to until we meet again.
