Simulated Mock Drafts

same site; good Oline picks are plentiful early; good WR's harder to find later, easier early as you'd expect;

32 Rashawn Slater, OT, Northwestern; OT pick

64 Teven Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State; move inside to OG; could play OT in a pinch.

95 Dazz Newsome, WR, North Carolina

133 Kolby Harvell-Peel, S, Oklahoma State

Keyed in on Wyatt Davis during the Sugar Bowl last night. He is huge, but I found him to be slow and struggle to get low on blocks down field. Looked really good in pass protection. I like Rashawn Slater much better in your last draft.

Yeah. My distaste for Davis (recently) has also led me to weigh Josh Myers, C, differently. I might value him more as the "glue" that holds the O.State Oline together. The scouting report suggested it was the OG's that may have made Myers look "better". I'm saying it may possibly be the other way around: That Myers is good enough in his own right and that he made the OG's look better.

Senior Bowl and Combine will tell a story.

I haven’t looked at Myers much,  but I wasn’t overly impressed.  I don’t think he has the laterally mobility to be a center in Andy’s offense.     I think he can be really good in the right offense,  not sure it’s ours though.

In fairness to Myers, he was up against an elite DL. They did a good job, as shown by the final score.

I was not planning ondoubling up the LB, but that's where the value wound up.

32: R1 P32 LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah - Notre Dame
64: R2 P32 C Josh Myers - Ohio State
95: R3 P31 S Talanoa Hufanga - USC
134: R4 P32 WR Tamorrion Terry - Florida State
140: R4 P38 LB Jack Sanborn - Wisconsin
173: R5 P32 OT Robert Hainsey - Notre Dame
179: R5 P38 CB Keith Taylor - Washington

I do think that a top notch center is much more crucial to an offensive line than the guard position.  Unless your team wants an athletic pulling guard, a reasonably athletic big body works just fine.  The center is not only in complete sync with the QB, he also is key at the point of attack to protect the pocket.  I value a good offensive center just below the right tackle position. It would be good if the top center in the draft fell into our laps in the 1st round.

1) Creed Humphrey C/G Oklahoma

Left handed so IDK of that would work for Pat/Reid

2) Quincy Roche DE/LB Miami

Solid pass rusher, can hack it in coverage when necessary

3) Merlin Robertson LB ASU

4) Myron Cunningham OT Arkansas

5a) Damon Hazelton WR Missouri

5b) Ambry Thomas CB Michigan

5c) Ronnie Bell WR Michigan

Loved description on him, tough as nails and produced a lot on broken plays.
