And they have the two best recruits coming in next year.  Jeez.

Just went and looked at their class, how do you convince the #3 overall player who is a center to come to your school when you've signed the #1 overall player who is also a center, and you have the #13 overall player who is a PF?  They have another 7'1" guy who is ONLY the 165th best ranked player in the country also committed.

So many highly ranked teams lost today.

Every team outside of Duke lost in the top 9 on the road. Nova didn’t play today but they lost on Tuesday on the road. I don’t recall that ever happening in week for 8 of the top 9 teams all losing on the road and 6 of the top 9 teams losing on the same day on the road.

In a weird way it just says Duke is the best team in the nation. They lost 3 of their 4 games by a total of 5pts. They could easily be (28-1) and the #1 ranked team in the nation.

What does Duke look like next year in Schuyer's first year?  Their top 9 scorers are all either seniors or expected to go into the draft:

PG: Jeremy Roach (Jr, 6'1") / Spencer Hubbard (Jr, 5'8") / Michael Savarino (Sr, 6'0"
SG: Jaylen Blakes (So, 6'1") / Jaden Schutt (Fr, 6'5")
SF: Dariq Whitehead (Fr, 6'6")
PF: Mark Mitchell (Fr, 6'8") / Keenan Worthington (Sr, 6'9")
C Dereck Lively (Fr 7'1") / Kyle Flipowski (Fr 6'11" / Stanley Borden (So, 7'0") / Chrisitian Reeves (Fr 7'1")

I bet they end up with a couple transfers in with their entire starting 5 declaring early, and then 4 seniors who see minutes on top of that. Could potentially see a SG transfer in and start.

Roach, Blakes, Schutt, Whitehead, Mitchell, Filipowski, Lively should be the current rotation for next year. Definitely expect a transfer or two to round out the rotation, specifically another big man and/or wing.

It’ll be young team, that won’t be the deepest squad but there won’t be many teams who can match them talent wise . Similar to the 18-19 Zion, RJ, Cam team in that regards. The key will be Jeremy Roach. An experience upperclassman lead guard does wonders in college, especially for a young team. If he takes that next step next season, it’ll make the team and Jon Scheyer’s job that much easier.

Not many things are guaranteed in life but Chris Beard losing to a ranked team is about as close to a lock as you can get.

Baylor went 6 minutes and then 4 minutes without a FG and still won. Fade Chris Beard in big games and collect two hours later
