Under Snyder. This team isnt Oklahoma or Bama anymore. Hoping for deep playoff runs with chances of titles. Weve been more UVA, Vandy, Kentucky for 20 years now. Where you just have to be happy making the playoffs every so often.

Hey come on.

What do you mean "come on"? UVA went 94 years before reaching their first bowl game. Theres no National Championship expectations. They want to make a decent bowl and do well.

Thats what we have to be. Want to make a playoff game. Hope to win one. If someone cant be happy doing that, then theyre going to be one miserable fan. Which were seeing more become all the time.

Oklahoma sucks. Heck, we weren’t even Bama or Clemson at our peak. We won 3 Super Bowls in a decade. Clemson & Bama seem to live at the Nat’l Championship game nowadays.

Bama or Clemson = The Patriots before Belicheck forced Brady out.

Didn’t the Packers suck for like 20 years before they found Favre? Same with the Pats, Saints and the Colts? Weren’t there basically a ton of teams that sucked really bad until they found their franchise QB? Yes it’s a lottery and yes we seem to never win it but at some point we’re going to hit on a QB and it will change the teams fortunes. And yeah, he’ll probably get a career ending injury the following season but that one season will be wonderful.

The Pats were playing great ball beforehand with Bledsoe and the Krafts have done the franchise well. Green Bay became owned by the fans. People that care, and demand certain levels be met or shakeups happen. Irsay is an idiot thats stumbled into a lot of luck. Being Andrew and Manning. But regardless, hes passionate about his team and cares. The Saints had a bad history at the start. But the Bensons have always tried to give New Orleans a quality product. Little rough patch in the 90s (who knew Ditka would flop so hard?). But since 85 when they took over theyve tried to deliver.

None of which you can say about Dan. Dan has tuned out and its just a business to him. Thats why I said, It would take the miracle of finding the right qb plus right coach to have steady success. But Dan dont care. Even if we find a great qb. We keep having some retread coach to hamper things like Phillip Rivers with the Chargers. The odds we magically have both at the same time under Dan is slim to none.

But weren’t the Pats terrible until Bledsoe?

They did decent in the 80s. Went to a SB and a few playoffs. Then a rough 5 year patch. Where the Krafts came in, Brought in Bill Parcells, grabbed Bledsoe and went to a SB in 96.

Its still the Krafts doing what it takes. They spent big on Parcells and Bledsoe. Then ran into Brady and the other Bill. I could never see Dan going out of his way to make great things happen for this franchise again.

Nope,  not even this. Losing to Dallas on Thanksgiving is one step closer to the 3rd overall pick and take in a QB, Penni Sewell or trading down a few picks but not out of the top 10 and then taking a QB.

It’s such a complicated story with Dan. He’s tried just about everything but generally when he hired a GM - like McCloughan - if that guy has one bad offseason, he doesn’t give it more than a few years. He’s grown to be more patient over the years with HCs since Gibbs but, it still hasn’t worked out and he trusted Vinny & Bruce Allen far too much. I mean, if we could combined some of 2000’s Dan Snyder FA spending w/ the draft rebuilding/focus of this decade we may have something. It remains to be seen if Rivera is going to spend in FA or if he’s going to do what he did last offseason.

You left out frekkin Thomas Davis . age 37 going on a 100

I would have to think he’s going to be either quality control coach, assistant LN coach or LB coach next year. He should’ve been that this year. I forget who pointed out how Chargers fans were telling them how bad he was last year and I didn’t want to hear it, the Chargers fans were right, what a waste of a signing. We could have signed any other Lb for a few million and gotten sat least better competition for Bostic, KPL & Holcomb.

So let's see what has been the WFT's problems the last say 20 years. A troublesome incompetent owner, a constant influxes of revolving door HCs and schemes, unforgiving trades, worthless free agents and inadequate drafts. Anyone else can think why we have been constant losers except for the occasional playoff spot then immediately losing the first playoff game? Why we haven't even gotten a glimpse of the NFC championship games and don't even imagine a super bowl? Why our team and it's fans have lived in football hell since 1992? When was the last time we were 11-5 or better? Sometimes I wonder if it would be better to disband the team and get an expansion team. This team will never and in paraphrasing the owner, "Never, I said never!" be a Superbowl contending team till the owner sells the team. With all the harassment charges facing this team, how come he hasn't been forced to sell the team like the previous owner of the Panthers? The NFL needs to force him to sell! Would you want your mother, wife, sister or daughter working for this team? If not, then why support the owner. Spend no more money on this team. Force him to sell NFL! He's give you a really bad reputation. I guess greed is good!
