Those injuries are freakishly rare (though odd run lately with Alex, Dak and Allen) and more or less just unfortunate circumstances. He's not at any more risk for that type of injury than anyone else I'd assume. Pollard just ran into his own lineman, then bounced it outside to try and get anything and escaped a weak tackle attempt around the hips.
