But a lower leg injury almost always involves ligament damage of some kind, and if this was a separation and not just a clean bone break like PG had and was told he was extraordinarily lucky to have, his career is, at the very least, demonstrably altered. They aren't the same, obviously, but I've had almost a dozen minor and major knee surgeries and the chronic pain is just overwhelming on certain surfaces some days. For a guy that needs to be able to plant, cut, and use that leg as a load bearing point to score, jump and transition this is a devastating blow. At this point you just pray he didn't have a hard separation. Again, can we just wait??? Like there's no harm in waiting or not knowing what exactly is wrong.
