JDBrocks
Quote Cook rushed five times for 16 yards while catching his lone target for two yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to Kansas City. Cook continues to split backfield duties with Breece Hall (6-56-0) despite the latter's superior play through nearly a quarter of the season. That likely has more to do with the team limiting Hall's reps after he tore his ACL last year. Cook is averaging an abysmal 2.5 yards per attempt with the Jets after never recording a mark below 4.4 YPC in any of his previous six seasons with Minnesota. The 28-year-old will have to get things going in short order or run the risk of losing playing time or his roster spot as the Jets continue to look for answers on the offensive side of the ball ahead of next Sunday's tilt against Denver. https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/jets-dalvin-cook-delivers-another-dud/ for comparison's sake. SteelKing728
17 teams so far have had their backup QB record a statistic. The backup QB position remains important.

Unless you have Kirk (or Peyton Manning) as your QB. They really should just call Kirk "Timex".

Does it? Does it really matter which bad backup plays? I'm not convinced.

It matters is a good backup can finish a game with little preparation and still give the team a chance to win

That's my point, there aren't even 32 good QBs, let alone a bunch of adequate backups. I just don't think it matters all that much.
vike daddy
There has to be a business relationship that has emerged this week between the league and Taylor Swift. While there’s no reason to think the relationship was manufactured, now that it has happened, those who can turn such organic developments into dollars and cents are doing so. The NFL benefits from the attention and interest of her fans. She benefits from the enhanced promotion (which was obvious this weekend) for the upcoming release of her latest concert tour as a film, which surely will gross more money than Star Wars and Titanic combined. The NFL is used to being the party in a business transaction that enjoys a gross imbalance. For the first time ever, the biggest sports operation in America is dealing with a phenomenon far bigger. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/byron-murphy-plans-a-little-trash-talk-for-travis-kelce-over-taylor-swift

JDBrocks
They had two sets so that one was setting up and the other was en route to the next tour date. Incredible.
