Leg fractures are usually not weight bearing, some amazing pain tolerance if you can, also you can make them worse by walking on them. Worst case he's got an ACL.

Terrence Ross injury. Looked less severe than Giannis, but same hypertension mechanism. He walked off on his own power.

Tibial plateau fracture.

When was the MRI?  If the news was best-case, we'd have likely heard by now.   The longer it goes, the more likely it's a playoff-ender at best.   Honestly, with that mechanism, and the degree of hyperextension, it would be a great outcome if the ACL wasn't involved - but the rest of the playoffs are a goner.

Sucks for the Bucks, not necessarily because they will lose to ATL (still have a good shot with home court 2 of 3), but either they lose to ATL (not so clear), or they get beat in 5 (or less) in the Finals.  And worst of all - Bud will get a pass because of the Giannis injury.     Lose-lose all the way around.   Feel bad for Bucks fans.

This. I played a full year of basketball on a fully ruptured ACL. Until you get the imaging it's mostly irrelevant how someone reacts.

I ate a dozen krispy kremes with a ruptured belly button.

Most everyone would. Unfortunately Giannis' injury looked much much worse. So I suspect he'd have to have gotten very very lucky.

I've posted on the other page what Dr. Chao thinks.

Giannis likely won't be need surgery even if he is out for the rest of the postseason.

The only issue I have with anyone implying any type of diagnosis based on the video is we don't have an angle that shows whether or not the knee bent sideways at all. If it bent sideways, there's a chance for, at least, a partial ACL tear. The PCL bending that far back, if there was no sideways motion, is likely partially torn. If there are no ligament tears at all, he's going to come away extremely fortunate. He's definitely done for the playoffs tho.

I don't know who this guy is, but props for him for being on top of this.

Even if Giannis is indeed out for the rest of the postseason, still great news as he avoided a major injury.

A lot of injuries for star players this postseason but nothing major that will impact the following season minus Jamal Murray's torn ACL.
