LSU's athletic revenue and/or budget isn't funded by tax dollars, and it's not the LSU athletic departments responsibility to fund other entities just because the state is run like a Come 'n' go. Unless they're double dipping into state funds, then the "optics", at least in this regard, are pretty mehhh. The optics of ever increasing salaries of coaches, to the point where coordinators are making HC money, while the players continue to get **** in return, are far worse imo. I get where you're coming from but Aranda is basically HC in waiting here and O + Aranda combined is still less than a lot of the more expensive head coaches. It makes a little more sense in Aranda's case rather than just some random coordinator at a school with a high salary head coach at the same time. He's a good coach but an average recruiter. We finally made Donte Williams official but he's coaching OLBs here. That recruiting...
