DirtyDez
Comparing stats in different eras is pointless with the pace and space today. Booker has better numbers than Kobe at the same age, Towns/Dirk, Embiid/Shaq, Trae/any past great PG etc…
Spartica4Real
The Pels in the past year have rectified previous mistakes by getting rid of Adams/Bledsoe/Van Gundy, hired a good coach in Willie Green, acquired Valancunias who has been huge, acquired Graham who has been meh, drafted Herb Jones who's going to make 2nd team all defense, drafted Trey Murphy who's become a solid rotational piece and great shooter, signed UDFA Jose Alvarado who has been a great find and is a PatBev like player, traded for CJ McCollum in an absolute steal of a trade, swept the Lakers, earned the play-in, and secured themselves a top 10 pick via the Lakers. And oh yeah they're 34-32 since the awful start despite BI missing 15-20 of those games and only acquiring CJ recently and not having him for around 40 of those games. Small sample size but they are 9-6 with both BI and CJ playing, despite a 1-4 start when CJ was getting acquainted. Zion hasn't even played all year. This season went about as well as you could hope for once Zion was injured.
11sanchez11
Have we considered the possibility that the Nets aren't good?
Kip Smithers
Gave up 67 in first half, then only 31 in second half (granted Knicks missed 10+ FTs).

The Nets are good they just arent what we all thought they would be. Ill keep saying this, the Nets were the one seed before KD got hurt and missed 21 straight games. That is with Harden quitting on the team trying to force his way out and Kyrie only playing road games at the time. People forget that LA has been hurt and Curry has been in and out of the lineup. Not to mention Mills has been struggling alot. He got off to a hot start early in the season from 3 and that was a big reason the Nets started off (27-15) and was on top of the East standings. I think when the playoffs get here that KD and Kyrie will take things up a notch and the Nets proved last season that even though they struggled badly in the regular season on defense when the playoffs came and they played the Celtics and then the Bucks they were I think top 4 on defense out of all the teams in the playoffs and the best defense against the 3. Now Im not saying they will repeat like that again this post season but we know they are capable to be better when locked down and focused on one opponent for a 7 game series. So for me the Nets are a dangerous team and anyone who dismisses them and dont think they can go on a run is foolish.

They struggled all season long and their biggest issues were health and age. When people talk about the Lakers in the LeBron era people always point to the bubble championship. We all know what happened that year. The NBA season paused for 4 months right before the playoffs. For an injury prone AD and an aging and now injury prone LeBron thats gold. It allowed them to get their bodies refresh and healthy for the playoff run. We saw the other three seasons where there was no pause in the NBA season that neither AD or LeBron could stay healthy long enough for the Lakers to have similar success. As a result the Lakers missed the playoffs in LeBron first season due to injury. The third season AD and LeBron both got hurt and limped into the playoffs where AD got hurt again and the Lakers got ran off the court by the Suns. Then this season they are 17 games under .500 and didnt even make the play in. Again due to injuries by AD and LeBron. And the only thing saved them is the 4 month pause in the season during the 2020 season that helped them get refreshed and stay healthy. Outside of that the Lakers in the LeBron era have been a failure. So unless the NBA pause the season again for 4 months the Lakers are screwed unless they can reconstruct their roster which will be hard to do with the cap space and no draft picks. Tyronnosaurus
An “Antoine Wright” in today’s NBA scores 20+ probably once every 4-5 games and gets consistent 10-12 point games. Antonie Wright of the 2000s, the actual Antoine Wright - if you get 6-7 points from him in any game you are doing cartwheels.

Antoine Wright would get 0 minutes in today's NBA The fact that he played tells how much players sucked back then lol The NBA scores so much because random bums are shooting from 28 feet now.

DirtyDez
Can’t decide whether I want the Clipps to win the 7-8 game so we don’t face them in the first rd or lose the 7-8 so they might not make it at all.
