MNF: Bucs vs Giants

Giants as if today have 2 top10 picks. If they are able to get a somewhat competent GM they certainly could turn around quick. They have a slate of quality starters, just need some more pieces iyam to at least be in contention again. These pieces include a QB obv.

The problem is no sane QB would go there, not in their mid late 30’s.  Even with 2 top 10 picks they’re 2-3 years away from being OK.   That means 1 of their 2 picks likely goes to QB.

Danny Jones likely going to be the next Darnold - finding a new 1-year tryout with a QB desperate team that can’t get a draft guy.   Difference being he won’t get much in return trade wise.   Could even see him getting released (same is about to happen to Drew Lock IMO).   Seattle perhaps?

I'd consider a total tear down, which last all of next year as well. Keep Jones for one more year, as this year's QBs in college aren't it, use the two top 10 picks to get talent in there for pass rushing or pass catching or OL, and tank next year as well with the intention of moving on from Jones in 2023.

It's going backwards, if anywhere

Jones isn't horrible but he is so woefully average. He has career journeyman backup written all over him.

With that said, given how horrible this QB class is and he has a year left on his contract (no chance he gets his fifth year option), NYG should use the picks to build up the team andnroll with Jones for one more year.
