Why OSU decided to not run on 2nd and goal?

4 or 5 yard line is 3 downs to get the TD.

On the 1st down carry, Stroud had the keeper/ bootleg wide open

Stroud doesn't like running the ball. For whatever reason considering his 1st ever OSU TD was a 35+ yard QB run. It's like they don't even have running the QB in the playbook

Way behind him? lol

He got both hands on it and didn't even have to extend that far. That 100% should've been a catch.

Yes, way behind him. He ran an out towards the pylon and had to flip 180 degrees to even get hands on it while his momentum was falling away. He should have caught it, but it was a piss poor pass

Yes, off target throw.

Hit him in the hands.

Star players need to perform in big games.

Olave should have caught it

I agree with all of this. It’s almost like they ran the ball all the way down the field and had a 230+ pound RB in 2nd and goal from the 3. Give him 3 Straight carries, in the snow no less.

Agreed.  1st and goal from the 5 should have been 4 down mentality for the TD with run sets, play action bootleg type plays.  Not empty, spread stuff.
