mayanfootball
Nice Cardiac Game. And who were the usual suspects? Mahomes, Hill and KELCE !! Very nice W. I got to watch the 2nd. half. Guess that was the best part.
onejayhawk
Kelce and Hill had 22 rec, 343 yards, 3 TD. Both are now over 1000 yards again. Hill is still ahead of last year's pace and he hit 100 rec. If it were not for Cooper Kupp, he'd be the big deal. kempus
That was an incredible win. Kelce went beast mode to win that game. Thats the division more or less sewn up. Now lets get that 1 seed.
Kael
I don't want to do it.. but I have to. Good game Chiefs. Good win Chiefs. In the future I think, and I don't believe I am far off base, but that all Charger/Chief games should be prime time. Here's to the playoffs, and maybe, possibly another match up.
onejayhawk
The Chiefs are in 1st place for the playoffs by a half game. We will see if the weekend lets them stay there. A lot of morning after articles are coming in. I particularly like once point--the Chiefs know how to win.https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-week-15-the-morning-after-travis-kelce-patrick-mahomes-nick-bolton/https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2021/12/17/22840905/kansas-city-chiefs-vs-los-angeles-chargers-5-things-we-learned-from-overtime-victory-nfl-week-15https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2951576-3-takeaways-from-chiefs-week-15-winhttps://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/andy_reid_praises_patrick_mahomes_vs_chargers_he_just_keeps_firing/s1_16631_36745823
onejayhawk
Sorting the stats, it is not good when your QB leads the team in rushing. Justin Jackson alone matched our 86 yards total. That said, there were a number of run concept pass plays that were quite effective, for example Burton's 20 yard gain on a screen pass. Special teams was supposed to be a big advantage, but they burned us for 75 yards on the opening KO and stopped Pringle inside the 20. The teams punted only once each, with the Chargers getting a net of one yard. Both K were perfect, Hopkins 4/4 on XP and Butker 2/2 and 2/2. I have to wonder whether they went on 4th down because they did not trust Hopkins, but otherwise our ST were outplayed. Team stats are very close, as you would expect. They led on first downs 28-24 and on yards 428-22 during regulation. We had 2 first downs and 75 yards in OT. The bottom lines is our ability to hold them to 2/5 on 4th down.
