Regardless, this is heart breaking for a kid who really has worked harder than just about anybody for the level of success he’s been able to find. Who hasnt done anything yet Very valid point, and with some of the move based on getting Akers a year towards pension credit - it's possible Akers isn't ready at all and this is just a move to help Akers in his post-playing days.
