TheKillerNacho
I'm absolutely shocked after the turnaround. We have two winning seasons in a row, and this happens? This is an awful decision. What coach in their right mind would take the job after this?
TheKillerNacho
Was Stephen Ross secretly in a coma for ten weeks and just come out of it or something??! Only thing i can think of that justifies this madness.
drew39k
I heard the news and came over to see the reactions. As a Jets fan I thought he was pretty good and was stunned to hear they let him go. Seems like maybe you guys are in the same boat.

TheKillerNacho
Sounds like Flores never wanted Tua and was one of the biggest drivers for trading for Watson while Grier supported Tua.
JourneymanQB13
I was feeling optimistic about the upcoming season after yesterday's win. Now, I feel sick. Who is available that could possibly do better? Why would you take this job after the way we just canned our best coach in about 20 years? Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.
Emerica
Wow. I don’t understand this one at all I am stunned tbh. I have no faith in Ross and Grier to find a better replacement. Feels like we’re starting over again. Now watch Grier hire a new HC, we’ll start the season off terribly, Grier is going to get canned and the new GM’s gonna want to hire his own guy and round and round we go Edited January 10, 2022 by Emerica

hrubes20
Ross wants Harbaugh. He's always wanted Harbaugh. It just so happens that Harbaugh is seemingly available this offseason. Seems like more than a coincidence to me. I'm probably in the minority, but I didn't love Flo. The uninspired play the first half of the season (against weak competition); his weekly boneheaded clock and timeout usage; and his complete unwillingness to step on anyone's throats were huge drawbacks for me. He obviously is a terrific defensive coach and mind, though.
Emerica
To me that reads “I’m not going to be the one to take Harbaugh away from Michigan… but if he wants to leave….”
Charlatan30
I was initially shocked but reading between the lines of Ross' statement there has been a lot going on behind the scenes.

I dunno. Its the same spiel we heard for Gase and Philbin firings. Difference is both those guys deserved to be fired. This one is much more confusing
