Rockets get Nic Batum

Hornets get Wesley Matthews, Josh McRoberts

Mavs get Ryan Anderson, Kemba Walker 2020 unprotected 1st rounder from Houston

Mavs get better, plus pick up an asset for taking on the Anderson Contract

Rockets get a better fit in Batum

Hornets get out of 2 deals for an expiring in mcroberts, and probably an expiring in Matthews as well.

Lol this is god awful for Charlotte.

Kemba is going nowhere. No one will take Batum's contract.

And Kemba as a third tier PG is hilarious. No one in the NBA would agree with you.

Third tier is probably where he is at.

Tier 1: Steph/Westbrook/Harden (if he counts)

Tier 2: Wall/Kyrie/Lillard/CP3

And then you start mentioning guys like Walker/Lowry/etc.

They might not be able to get rid of Batum, but then can get rid of another bad contract.  If it's Batum or bust then there's no point in trying to trade Kemba.  If the Hornets are willing to get rid of Williams instead then quite a few teams will bite.

Kevin Pelton made 6 hypothetical trades, but not many were great.  The teams were: Cleveland, Detroit, Indiana, New York, Phoenix, and Utah.  I think Phoenix is very interesting considering their interest in Kyrie.

Phoenix receives:
Kemba Walker
Marvin Williams

Charlotte receives:
Dragan Bender
Greg Monroe
Alex Len
2018 Milwaukee 1st Round Pick and 2018 Milwaukee 2nd Round Pick/2018 Miami 1st Round Pick and 2018 Charlotte 2nd Round Pick (if Milwaukee's picks doesn't convey)

I like him a lot more against GS than IT.

Cleveland receives:
George Hill

Sacramento receives:
Iman Shumpert
Channing Frye

Cleveland would still need to get rid of some of their guards.  I think Sacramento would want Osman.

Cedi isn’t a throw in. He’s gonna be good. Shump would be the guard were giving up. I’m hoping we add jr to it.

I know Osman isn't a throw in, but Sacramento would negotiate for him since they don't have many 3s on their team.

Even getting rid of Shump they'd still have:

Thomas
Smith
Korver
Wade
Hill
Rose

Rose doesn’t count. He’ll be hurt tomorrow.

Taking on hill would be a salary dump. Sac doesn’t really have much leverage. They can get their 3 somewhere else.

I agree, which is why I didn't end up adding him or the Miami 2020 2nd Round Pick.  Sacramento would get out of having to play Hill so they can concentrate on developing their young backcourt going forward.  Next up is Randolph, though no one who's any good would trade for him.
