George Hill is a nice fit along LeBron. Do the Cavs play IT and Hill together?

Hill fits next to anyone. Lebrons ideal PG is hill. Someone who can play off ball. Play d, hit 3s, not dribble the air out of the ball. But no he and IT don’t fit.

That would be a hell of a coup if Hill can return to his form from last year.

Would be interesting to see if they could turn this into a 3-way trade with the Kings and Clippers:

Cleveland Receives:
-George Hill
-Zach Randolph
-DeAndre Jordan

Sacramento Receives:
-Kevin Love
-Channing Frye (Expiring)
-Iman Shumpert

Clippers Receive:
-Cedi Osman (Filler)
-Derrick Rose (Expiring)
-Jose Calderon (Expiring)
-Brooklyn 1st Round Pick

Cleveland Roster:

Hill/Thomas
Smith/Wade
LeBron/Green
Randolph/Crowder
Jordan/Thompson

That's a pretty good team from top to bottom, imo.

Kings have finally hit their groove and have vaulted up to the top of the tank standings. No way they'd want to add Kevin Love to their roster trying to help them get unnecessary wins

I doubt Love shifts the needle much this season. He's probably the best asset they could get in the next two years, through the draft or otherwise. And on top of that, they could just as easily employ the same approach they are taking with their veterans currently, i.e. sitting them out every few games for "rest" purposes.

What do you not like as part of that trade? Right now, that Brooklyn pick is barely top 10. Given the Nets have no incentive to tank, with Russell back they are more than likely to drop out of the top 10, making the pick that much less valuable. Love hasn't been that great this season and reports seem to indicate there is clearly tension between he and the rest of the team. Better to move him now while his value is still high in an attempt to appease LeBron than to have to trade him later as part of a full rebuild when LeBron departs.

And why would the cavs need to add love plus the Brooklyn pick plus cedi just for DJ and Randolph? You do realize this isn’t 2010. Randolph isn’t that good and you need spacing which neither does. That’s a terrible proposal and a massive overpay.

They don't even play Cedi, if he can't even crack the rotation right now, he's not going to be a part of this team going forward.

You guys desperately need more defensive rebounding and those two would give you that. Randolph can definitely work with another talented big man, look at Memphis or his play next to WCS. But more so, he gives you another offensive weapon in the post and can just as easily come off the bench.

And see my comments above about the Brooklyn pick. DJ is still a top 25 player in this league, a lottery pick (outside of the top 10) seems like more than appropriate value.

No. That’s just bad. You don’t get rid of a rookie just because he’s not playing now.

And no Randolph didn’t work in Memphis. That’s why they never went anywhere. Because that team has no spacing. And an old Randolph isn’t helping. Love and the Brooklyn pick aren’t just throw ins to deals.

DeAndre Jordan is nowhere near a top 25 player in the league.

I'm not saying Cedi sucks or he doesn't suck. I'm just saying historically speaking, if a rookie can't crack the rotation in his first year, 90% of the time it means he's not in the long term plans of the franchise. So, regardless of how much optimism folks have about his long term potential, if the franchise doesn't care to develop him, he's probably never going to do anything noteworthy on the Cavaliers.

And Randolph did work in Memphis, they made the playoffs every year in a stacked Western conference and nearly went to the Finals with Z-Bo spearheading that particular team. Yes, he is older but he's still a very effective low post scorer and rebounder. Even if you don't want him starting, he can still be a tremendous contributor off the bench, especially as a part of an actual contender.

And no one said they were throw ins, but they are both needed (financial and incentive based motivation) in order to make the aforementioned trade work.
