I know I already said it ITT, but just to hammer it in defense of my boy -> 2014 Justin Houston had 22.0 sacks and didn't get a single DPOY vote. I will concede Watt deserved to win that year, but a "flawless victory" unanimous decision was absolute blasphemy.

Who the hell is Brett Perryman? 108 catches as the #2 in 1995?
SkippyX
1987 Reggie White had 21 sacks in a 12 game legit strike shortened season. Rice had 23 TDs in 12 games and was the on the field MVP He lost a 3-way vote to idiots voting for Montana and Elway. Montana may have been the 2nd best QB on the 49ers that year (Young had 10 TDs to 0 picks) Montana's stats were inflated by 2 scab games. Randall Cunningham 1990 (Joe Montana 1988-1990 award) and 1998 (TD 2K)

Here were his stats: 370 rushes, 1880 rushing yards, 27 rushing touchdowns, 15 catches, 78 receiving yards, 1 receiving touchdown Here is Tiki Barber's 2005 season: 357 rushes, 1860 rushing yards, 9 rushing touchdowns, 54 catches, 530 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns Alexander destroyed him in total touchdowns, but Tiki's 2390 total scrimmage yards in 2005 is the 4th best total all time. Christian McCaffrey beat him by just 2 yards (2392) in 2019. Tiki actually had 3 consecutive 2000 scrimmage yard seasons from 2004-2006, his age 29, 30, and 31 seasons, then he retired. I was gonna say surely Alexander and LT fit the bill, but you're right on Tiki
rob_shadows
It's been mentioned already but the 2011 season was ridiculous for QBs... At a time where only twice in history had a QB thrown for 5,000 yards in a season you had 3 guys do it in one year (Brees, Brady, and Stafford with Brees and Stafford also having 40+ TDs) and the QB widely considered to have had the best year that season wasn't even one of those 3. Prior to that year there had been only 2 5000 yards ever, then three in on year. That's fair, but at the same time, that was the year the Packers and Saints were most stacked on offense, and stayed relatively healthy all year. It would have been career years for Brees and Rodgers regardless. That may be true for some of the other QBs that year as well, but for sure those two. mse326
Daunte Culpepper's 2004 season is criminally forgotten already. 4717 passing yards (before the emphasis on illegal contact), 39 TDs to only 11 INTs. Also added 406 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. And to say he was to offense (that was ranked 4th in yards and 6th in points) is an understatement. The leading rusher was Onterrio Smith with 544 yards and the team had a total of 8 rushing TDs (an recall 2 were Culpepper's), the leading receiver was Nate Burleson with 1006 yards. Randy Moss was on the team playing 13 games only had 767 yards but 13 TDs. Still that ball had to be spread around.
