Lynch is definitely playing hardball and Washington wasn't going to wait for them to make a move. Sometimes you just have to make moves when they are available and know how to play your cards. They would have to hope that the Raiders would be good with the Stafford deal, and I just don't think that is happening. We are going to get at the minimum a conditional 2nd rounder plus a late pick.. do you really think Washington's best offer for Jimmy was that far off from the Wentz deal they ended up doing? We don't know how deep they went in to that conversation. We don't know that they ever made a formal offer. The surgery may have scared them off from the start. I think we're probably holding out for a 2nd or something which isn't a crazy ask, but Jimmy just isn't that highly valued. I just don't see a good fit league wide. Packers, Broncos, Commanders all settled their QB situation. He isn't a fit for the Bucs. Steelers & Saints are options; however, i think they're in the sweepstakes for long-term rookie QB's (Willis for Steelers & Pickett for Saints if i had to guess). He's probably only starting 2022 at best while the team develops their rookie; then he's on the move again in 2023.
