So I noticed that week 12 only has Danger's input there, but the average does not match it exactly. Is the average based over more than just that week or is the formula off?

The average is just what everyones combined rankings for that week in particular are. I'd forgotten to sort Week 12 after it just being my own rankings in there so far. It's been updated though.

Sup guys. So I did a thing? What sort of thing you might ask well, I like to mess around with Google Sheets and I made something that makes it fairly easy to make a "consensus power rankings" if you will. You can view it by clicking here.

If you'd like to like to have your rankings included you can do so in one of two ways. You can post your rankings in the thread here, OR (preferably) you can PM me your E-Mail address and I'll give you editing capabilities on the Sheet. If you'd prefer to keep that to yourself, or just don't want to be bothered, someone who can will put your rankings in for you.

________________
How to use the sheet:

You'll enter your name along the top line as shown here:

After you've done that in that column that you've selected use the drop downs to rank your teams 1-32. If you have any teams on there more than once, they will be highlighted in both spots, like so.

When you get down to just three teams remaining they will be highlighted to the left in blue as shown here:

When you've completed your rankings hover over the "Rank/User" cell in the top left and click the link, it will take you to the AVG score for each team, click the drop down arrow highlighted in green (2nd image) and select 'Sort A->Z'. This will update the average rankings to include your input.

If you have any questions or suggestions or you are also good with Google Sheets, feel free to let me know here! This is still in "Beta" for the rest of the 2017 season. I've tested it out already in the Eagles forum and hope this takes off with you guys here as well.

Your only problem with a voting system is, that the far larger cities will likely have many more voters than the smaller ones and will warp the outcome. It will in all likelihood prove to be a waste of time and effort.

I get what you're saying and that's why I hate most polls on this site because the teams with the most active fans that venture outside of the team sub-forums tend to skew the numbers a bit based on being biased for their favorite team or against another for some other reason. Especially on the older site where you couldn't see who voted for who.

But I believe that's also why this was designed in the first place like it was so that it gives every fan of every team a chance to have a 'voice', so to speak, while also holding those who voted more accountable for those votes(i.e no more 10 fans of X team voting their team #1 just because). So the more people that get involved have a better chance at ultimately out-weighing the bias. Thus, the "average of votes".

I like the idea. My only concern with this at the beginning was the fact that it seems like most people here just like to ***** and moan about other posters rankings rather than post their own.

I'm surprised people have Jacksonville so high right now. They started the year really hot but have tapered off, mainly due to Bortles. It's nearly impossible to sustain a good season behind that bad QB play, unless you have an all-time defense. I don't think Jacksonville is quite at that level yet.
