WhyAmIHere
Saw Dune 2 yesterday. Really really long. I felt it was good but I didn't get that "spectacular epic" feeling I got with movies like LOTR or other trilogies. I'm not on the edge of my seat waiting for part 3. Visually it was stunning for sure. I dunno, movies feel like a chore to get through these days, maybe it's just me. Good movie though, for today's standards.
Chrissooner49er
I enjoy David Lynch's director's cut version of DUNE too much to bother with the reboot. Hate remakes and reboots so much. Kyle MacLachlan is Muah'dhib. Besides, did Toto compose the soundtrack?! I think NOT! They did for the original and I think it is awesome.
adamq
I've never actually seen Highlander. I tried once and the opening scene was so strange and almost cheesy that I just switched the Netflix over to something else.

I think it was cheesy even back in the 90s, the first one was still epic though. I've never watched any of the Godfathers or Titanic.

The first two are as good or better than everyone says

The first was great and I didn't know what to expect - thought it would be too slow but it wasn't. Then the second one blew me away, I just loved it. Skip the third. I've never seen Titanic either, and I never will. It doesn't appeal to me in any way. Edited May 11 by WhyAmIHere

I played all the games and love the show. Just finished watching a few weeks ago. Trying to catch up on stuff I missed. I'm trying really hard to get through Legion right now. I'm the type of person who, once I start something, I have to finish it. Season 1 was pretty good. Seasons 2 and 3, though, it's been painful getting through them. I have two episodes left. WIsh me luck!
Ftn49
Anyone keeping up on the college football video game news? I had had thoughts on buying the $150 set that includes the next Madden, but I'm on the fence now that I've heard you aren't able to import draft classes into Madden from the college game due to licensing issues on college players not being compensated for being playable in Madden. I'll still probably get the day and date one and get Madden when it drops down to $20 like I normally do every year or two.

I think the game is just largely not fun any more. I was doing the black friday, $20 thing every year and now the last two years I've done that and I legit never played the game. Just sitting on a shelf. I will grab NCAA and hope for the best though.
GW21
I got the bundle for $134. I buy it every year and play the **** out of it. It’s super frustrating to play at times, but I still enjoy it and do think it’s getting better as the years pass although I wish it progressed quicker than it has. Ftn49
Saw the Deadpool movie. Some great stuff, some stuff I didn't feel lived up to expectation. I'd say 3 stars out of 5, happy I saw it, I can wait to see it again until it's on something for free essentially. The special effects in particular I didn't feel were up to snuff. I don't understand how stuff 10 years ago can have better animations and stuff than the last 3 or 4 in particular. I went to Twisters last weekend, which I thought was pretty cool visually, but the original was still better IMO.
