Sunny has a new season going apparently.. The premiere episode might be the best one they've made yet.  The Mac avtor has had some plastic surgery which takes some getting used to. (same doctor as Ryan Reynolds obviously)

Next 3 episodes were solid. I feel like they could keep this show running for as long as Danny Devito is alive.. his acting elevates everyone and the writing on that show is top notch

The most recent one was my favorite of the season so far.

Best movie of the year? Sound of Freedom. Not even kidding. Likely the most true story ever put on film.

All should see it.

I'll probably see it after it comes to home video, anything the media tells me at this point I do the opposite.

And a lot of the media is telling you it is far right propaganda, so you should not see it, right? So that means you should see it.

And any who truly believe this true story is propaganda has their head in the sand. This should be the biggest concern for the entire world but there is too much money involved for mainstream media to expose it.

And before any claim I am getting political, it is all about an issue that should NOT be political: God's children are not for sale.  This should be EVERYONE's concern and focus, even for atheists.

Let’s get off of religion and not start with the political stuff either.

I was actually talking about a movie and what the media was saying about it...which i do believe is what this thread is for? I just ask that people open their eyes and watch for themselves instead of let anyone else decide for them, including me. It is a very good movie as well as an important story.

Definitely.

Im also big on not listening to critics on movies. Some of my favorite movies have terrible reviews.

Agreed... My favorite type of movie generally speaking is a comedy. Critics usually are not the biggest fans of those.

I would agree for back in the day. I can't remember the last truly great comedy movie though, tbh. Feel like that is a dying genre. I really liked Game Night a few years ago, but woof, the genre is on hard times.

Would you count Deadpool as a comedy? The first one was brilliant (imo). Zombieland? Superbad? I'm sure there are probably others but those would be my top ones of recent history, though I guess superbad is going on 20 years old. 21 Jump Street I loved.

A movie like Deadpool is a  "Joss Whedon" comedy, but not traditional just straight up comedies. I don't think that straight up comedies are often made any more. Superbad i would consider a normal comedy, but yeah, like 16 years old.

Hangover, almost 20. Bridesmaids 10 years old. Neighbors will be 10 next year.  I don't think broad, general release comedies are really a thing any more for theater experiences. They seem more like Netflix fodder (see Adam Sandler's deal there).

But @beekay414 loves this era of comedy, right?

Bridesmaids... there were some funny parts but to me it kind of started the whole thing of women being just a trainwreck with almost no redeemable qualities and your supposed to somehow sympathize with them or feel sorry for them?  That said there are plenty of movies about guys that way too, usually not in comedies though. And I usually don't like those either. Requiem of a dream... top 2 all time worst movie as far as I am concerned.

Are we talking the era with stuff like Wedding Crashers and Zack & Miri Make A Porno or the current era? Lmao
