Nabbs4u
After the bye most likely. Next 4 opponents after the Jets where the Steelers could 2-2 Buff TB Miami Philadelphia Not exactly a cake walk of NFL Defenses to face for a Vet QB, let alone a Rookie. If 2-7, 3-6 expect a change Wk10 . If 4-5 or better with Mitch no reason to make the switch. Edited September 23, 2022 by Nabbs4u

Trojan
I vote Redshirt the entire year. It's likely the most stable franchise in the league and I doubt coaching jobs or front office or anything would be dinged for it. They get to know Pickett the entire year acclimate him, allow him to get really comfortable and adjusted to fame and pressures and the ability to read the field, then let him compete extremely prepared year two. If they bomb out and pick at or near the top of the draft there are a bunch of classic looking Steeler picks potentially in the class that aren't a "give up on Pickett take Stroud" pick. kokichi
When he's more game ready than Trubisky. Either that or when the Steelers are basically out. 1-2 means nothing and Trubisky is okay.
beekay414
He's 24 years old. It made no sense from the beginning sitting him behind someone you had no chance of winning with. Long week to get ready, give him the start next game.

y*so*blu
Despite issues on their offensive line, elite quarterbacks come out stronger when thrown into the fire. Non-elite quarterbacks don't. Better to find out now which kind Kenny Pickett is.
