Game 3 Postgame: Tampa GETS it

Rodgers has sometimes been faulted for throwing outside too much, and not being willing to throw inside and risk the INT's.  Yesterday, a whole lot of his throws were inside.  Including the INT.  And several of the Doubs catches were inside, too.  Next week, it will be a different defense.

Rodgers was really sharp.

has anyone been able to find a different angle of the interception that shows Tonyan for the full route?  Saw some comments from people at the game saying he was blatantly held but the NFL highlight doesn't show it.  Rodgers seemed upset with the refs on that play too.

Yeah, Rodgers was clearly looking for something from the refs, but the broadcast never showed anything to explain his reaction.

the only clip I've seen, tonyan clearly gets thrown off his route by something but its impossible to tell as it cuts to him too late.  Really doesn't matter unless Rodgers ends up 499 and 100 in which case we should all riot

How far downfield is a guy allowed to block like that?  Is that legal, or should a shot like that be a penalty?

It’s a run so it should be fine. And he did get in front of Davis body, he didn’t blindside him. The issue would be if Davis was turned away more.

But his body was turned the correct way for it to be legal. His head wasnt, but that’s on Davis.

They showed the replay from behind Rodgers yesterday. Tonyan was trying to cross, and the defender grabbed him around the waist and turned him up field. It was definitely DPI.

This Bucs front seven is not as destructive as two years ago with Suh and JPP. That said, hope they can give Newman a push for his spot. None of these fronts this year scare me like the Bucs two years ago. If they can stay healthy on the oline this year, this team will go far. Special teams and defense are special. Injuries are always the big unknown.

BTW Wahle and Ahman Green have a very good podcast. Today's is worth a listen.
