  1. 1. What should the Packers do about their defensive coordinator?

    • Fire MLF, he hired him
    • Fire Joe Barry immediately and get somebody who will play aggressive defense
    • MLF should lay down the law with Barry to stop playing not to lose, get aggressive
    • Ride it out and see what happens this season then make a decision
    • Joe Barry is great

Does MLF actually know what Barry is/ isn't capable of?  Wasn't it last year that MLF had to increase his involvement in the defensive side of things?

Repeating things and expecting a different result.

MLF hiring the DC of arguably the worst team in NFL history was the first chink in his armor.  It was a catastrophic choice and warrants fans questioning his judgment. It’s why he has to get the new DC right or he’s going to be the next to go.

He's on staff for the rest of the season, just like every other coach in the NFL, and their fates are all decided upon the conclusion of the season.

I want him gone out of principle but idk why people are getting so worked up that they didn’t can him and do interim with 3 games left. The whole defensive staff is booty hole and needs to go too. Not just Barry. How many years has the run defense sucked with Montgomery who is viewed as his in season successor if they canned Barry?

The concerns about MLF’s decision-making started a mere 12 hours after the embarrassing Lions game end of last season when he confidently declared that Barry would remain the DC.  Like, WTF?  MLF didn’t even take a day or two and give consideration to other possibilities or options - he slammed the door on any speculation.  That tells us how confident he still was in Barry, and that’s what scares me.

I like MLF, but there are things about the dude that concern me a great deal.

But there is an option of him not being on the staff tomorrow as other NFL teams have done.  Buffalo and there OC as a prime example of a coach not being kept just to play out the season.

Did we keep Gute this week? Did KC keep Reid? There's an option for anyone to not be on a staff tomorrow. No one words it that way.

This is ridiculous, when you keep a coach it means he's staying on for another year. Joe Barry's contract wasn't terminated today, so he'll most likely coach 3 more games and then his time here is over.

Buffalo had another guy in waiting. We don’t. We effed up there. If we had a Jerry Gray still I’d be all for it. I think I was for it with him last year lol. These other positional coaches are trash too.

Do we have the defensive equivalent of Joe Brady on this staff?

Packers fans would think more clearly discussing race, religion and politics IMO. You mention Joe Barry and don't immediately follow it up with the word fired and everyone turns into Bobby Boucher's momma on you.

Sorry Raymond, but Joe Barry IS da devil
