Could live with that deal too.  However disagree Rodgers will be taking the Jets to the playoffs.  Think they would make it to the divisional round.  So #43 this year and a mid to late 20's next year.  Be OK but think they should throw a player into the deal.  Jets have a very good team just need a QB.  Rodgers will make them relevant.

Not that you can read too much into it but saw the video of the Jets brass returning from California.  They didn't look all too happy gotta be honest.  Didn't look like they got what they were looking for.  Kinda how they would look if Rodgers jerked their chain.  This whole deal could still fall apart.  Boy wouldn't that suck.  I'd have to apologize to Mr Anonymous.

Yeah, I think this whole charade has got us all hanging on any little tidbit of information we can glean. At this point it's speculation overload for all of us.

Time for the deal to be announced and let's move on.

Amen to that.  Hopefully by the end of the week.

Feeling is mutual.  I don't pretend to be the smartest guy in the room.  Guess that's why you refuse to speculate but yet call out other posters.   We are all just "dreaming".  But hey if the offer comes in less you can puff up your chest and tell everyone I told you so.

Puffing up your chest and telling everyone I told you so is a you thing, hence your need to throw **** at the wall. Which is fine. Just not my thing. Some of us prefer reality to dreaming. There is a chance that they swap 1st round picks if a deal is made, and the Packers end up with the 13th overall pick at which point you can pound your chest about being right with them getting the Jets 1st round pick, ignoring that the 15th overall pick went to the Jets.

“Fair” better be at least a first rounder

Agreed .. humongous fail if they fail to land a 1st round pick.  I can't believe a deal wasn't agreed upon before the Packers gave the Jets permission to talk to Rodgers.

Green is wrong though. Rodgers threatening to show up with Packers doesn't make their salary cap situation worse. Not this year anyway.

That is correct, as long as he's on our roster we save 9m, I think he's referring to the option bonus and having to exercise it, but I believe we have until week 1 to do that as well, so we're safe there.

True .. wouldn't hurt us a bit financially, but it would be a mess.   If by chance Aaron has to return to the Packers I would go ahead and fire up the circus with an open competition at QB.  Rodgers vs. Love .. best player gets a starting gig.  Let's go nuts.
