HokieHigh
he is really throwin pack f.o. under the bus. My recollection was that the packers really had to get into evaluations before making any personnel or staff decisions. He says he thinks a decision was made before those took place but that was not communicated to him.

He went into the cave after the Packers told him the job was his if he wanted to keep playing and then when he came out he learned they had been shopping him. I guess what surprises me most is that he didn't play hardball and simply accepted they were moving on. So...the Packers suddenly decided that they were going to trade Rodgers when he went into his darkness retreat? I don't buy it.

Mr Anonymous
Takes pride in the fact he's the longest tenured Packer in Green Bay history. I guess that's enough. Really figured he'd try to "win" the situation by sticking around as long as he wanted regardless of what the team wanted to do.
Reaper
Glad this is circus is coming to an end but let’s be honest Arod made it easy to be a packers fan for a long time. Favre before him did the same thing let’s hope being a packer fan is as easy for the next 10+ years
Arthur Penske
Honestly Rodgers is being pretty classy. I thought he was going to rip into them. Laying the compliments on GB and Love. Still some time though haha. Edited March 15, 2023 by Arthur Penske
HokieHigh
He could have just ended the shopping around by saying he is coming back to play with them.

Rodgers has the ultimate trump card by saying he was retiring if he was traded.

Yep, he's coming across as grateful and the FO is coming across great as well. He's being very mature about it.
Rainmaker90
Very good politician. Loves everyone , he’s not upset . Painting the FO as cold, heartless businessmen if only he had this perceptive the last 2 years! Edited March 15, 2023 by Rainmaker90
PossibleCabbage
I mean, the role of the people in your front office to do what's best for the organization, rather than to do what's best for specific members of the organization. Sometimes those things are the same, but when they're not... There were good reasons to believe Rodgers was a declining player in 2020, and even better reason to believe it in 2023.
15412
So he is indeed ready to be a Jet and it's the teams holding it up

I don't buy it. I don't buy that either. I do know they didn't want confrontation though. Last year at this time they weren't sold on Love and the contract they gave Rodgers reflected that. Fast forward a year later and they still hadn't told Rodgers they wanted to move on. Yet clearly they did after the progress Love made in the past year. The biggest surprise in all this is that he didn't force them to choose. He made it easy on them. That has to be a surprise to everyone. HokieHigh
Lol aj hawk with the million dollar question. If the texts were "we love you come back" when you came out of darkness, would you have been in? Rodge: not really
