WFLukic
I'm not part of the committee, but for what it's worth a 3Down is an automatic transaction - it doesn't need approval. Once it's posted, it's official. It sets a dangerous precedent to be able to withdraw it for a trade. For example, why not let someone change their draft pick prior to the next person picking?

I'm waiting to see if SirA says there is already a precedent for this but otherwise, I agree. A 3 Down does not need approval, so it is an automatic transaction, just like any other version of cutting a player we have. If we decide to view it as automatic, I agree. Certain moves, like sub500 cuts, draft picks, trades involving only picks, and retirement cuts, are locked the minute you post them. Other moves, like a 3Up or trade involving a player, require vetting approval. The question is whether we consider a 3Down the former or the latter, even if it gets passed through without approval.

I just don't see why it would be considered the latter when it does not require approval? Unless SirA confirms there being precedent already set in 3 Downs not being automatic, that's how I would view this.
Blue
I'm fine with it either way, it'll be Whicker's fault for not shopping these guys before 3 Downing them.

I think we are all in agreement that we will defer to SirA.
