2020 Packers Draft... 'A 1,001 ways for fans to confess that they are still butt-hurt that the Packers drafted a QB instead of a WR'.

I also question whether taking Tee Higgins or Michael Pittman put us over the top in either of the subsequent playoff losses.   I very much question if any WR changes the way that game plays out. It was a huge defensive struggle, and we lost because of a blocked punt.

The problem isn't only the singular draft pick of Love instead of a WR.    That is part of the problem.   It was time to make the run and GB only half went for it.

The rest is the refusal to address special teams either through coaching or bottom of roster talent that should have been helping ST play.

It was the organization making most of its investment in defense and keeping a low-level coach such as Barry in control of the defense.  We didn't make effective use of our resources.

It was letting the overall level of talent on offense decline when it is an offensive driven league.    We were totally reliant on 1 WR and 1 RB in the passing game.   No consistent threat at WR2 position.  No TE threat.

The title of this thread should be, 'A 1,001 ways for fans to confess that they are still butt-hurt that the Packers drafted a QB instead of a WR'.

Would be interesting to see if these same people are the children of the people that were butt-hurt when the Packers selected Rodgers instead of a WR 18 years ago.

The fact people argue against this is hilarious. He's failed to do it his entire tenure this is just the cherry on top.

It seems like I remember Shenault was the available WR many in here were clamoring for.  Much more so than Higgins or Pittman.

The idiots in here are different than what the experts thought. The overwhelming consensus was Higgins was the next best. The love pick would be much easier to swallow had we traded for a proven player or at least not taken a ******* RB the next pick and a horrible TE 3rd.

It's my thread...soooooo....

He's not wrong.  And neither are you.

And here is the thing...he can't "win".  Even if Love balls out, the fact remains that we were like a WR away (or a non injured LT away) from a Super Bowl at that time.  And Love did nothing for these many years.

You can't really "win" either, because if Love becomes a competent starter, that is far more valuable than a WR.  And if he becomes good?  A new window of opportunity opens.

Now...you can "win" if Love Stinks.  But none of us really wants that to happen.  Not Love stinking, but you in being right.  😝

Love pick is just the cherry on top of the issues with Gute ignoring  WRS and being 0-2 on 3rd round tight ends. Had he been able to get a legitimate second option the years before it would be much less of an issue.

I'm all for Love being great but that doesn't make up for the bad job gute has done on numerous levels. This thread is to talk about the picks to gauge how well the GM has done. Unless he's a perennial pro bowler there is no way his pick was worth it. We lost the cheap years to sacrifice a legit Superbowl shot and will soon be paying our Hof to play for another team. It's malpractice

Gute couldn't even reach for the right QB three years early when he took Love over Hurts.  He should be fired.

Strawman while ignoring objective facts, shocker.

And in 60 words or less.

As for you, you have at least 60 posts on this thread alone saying the same ******* thing over and over again. In itself is kind of amazing in a demented way.

It would be an interesting exercise for the most negative/critical posters on this board ( @PackFan13 and @hitnhope are examples), to emphasise for just one week of the year, all the positive aspects of the Packers team and what they DO like about them. I don't think they'd find it easy to do.

You can balance it if you like with the most optimistic posters being only negative, in that same week.
