Did Galloday quiet quit like the thread in NFL Gen is talking about? He got his payday, then essentially retired?

Nah. He tried, he was just entirely sapped of all his speed and explosiveness after an offseason surgery. He couldn't get off the line of scrimmage. After Daboll and co saw that he couldn't really play, they just didn't use him this year because he wasn't effective, but also because if he got hurt, an injury while he is on this contract would have significant negative effects to the Giants cap.

He was actually a pretty solid guy, all things considered. Yeah he was mad about playing time, but he was a willing blocker when he was on the field. Have nothing against the man, only Gettleman for being a dumbass.

KG is a perfect example of why you don’t send in that retirement paperwork after your rookie deal, lol.

I thought this was such a low key great signing at the time.

I wanted him in Chicago until I saw his yearly $. Even if he had panned out, WR contracts these days are unconscionable
