I had to look that up, because I just didn't believe it. Looks like he played in 10 games, so he may have had some kind of injury hanging around him. Though I'm not sure at all. But Arthur Smith just wants to run the ball 24/7. Not much you can do when you're placed in witness protection. Reminds me of Mike Martz essentially ghosting Vernon Davis when he was OC of the 49ers. Tugboat Posted August 13, 2023 Share Posted August 13, 2023 He's a weird one in that i didn't necessarily ever see "star" TE potential with him coming out. But he seemed like he had all the tools and a well-rounded skillset to at least be a "safe" solid long-term fixture as a TE for someone.
