it tells everyone that you’re inept.

I disagree. Everyone agrees that Quarterback is the most important position in sports. Getting two top prospects to battle it out isn’t a bad thing. If their egos are too fragile to handle the competition, they were never going to be the guy anyway.

Even if you believe that's the case, that's extremely poor use of resources.  It's one thing to use a 1st and a 4th on a QB, like the Washington team did, but a whole other thing to use your first 2 picks on them.

There’s a finite number of snaps available in practice. If you’re drafting two QBs with the intention for them to battle it out, you’re doing both a disservice.

Also, you’re just about guaranteed to destroy the locker room. Half the locker room is going to get behind one guy, while the other half gets behind the other. Every time one guy slips up, the other side is going to start to make noise. And the fans would do the same thing.

You’re more likely to ruin any chance at developing either one of them, than to find the one who’s going to be good.

It worked for Kirk Cousins though?

nfl.com has MN taking Hooker.....

That would be a great pick. Trade Smith and Cook tonight and that would be a huge win. Let Hooker sit a learn for a year. Go into next by locking up T.J. and Jefferson to extensions. ( and anyone else that’s up for extensions) Have a decent amount of cap for Free Agents and hope hit on a few draft picks. Then we are ready to roll. Sound good to me😎.
