The thing to watch on the Mizzou CBs is their weight.  I think both are very good, but really want to see if they can maintain their speed at more acceptable NFL weight, and what their actual speed and weight is currently.  Not a whole lot of sub 190 guys are going to be taking down a RB with some momentum built up.  Mizzou has Rakestraw at 188, and Abrams-Draine at 178.  For comparison, Jaire is listed at 196.

I think the Redskins found that out when they drafted that really skinny kid at CB in round 1 last year.

Damn dude....you're killing me with names. Least you can do is put them in some order of preference! :)

I was just giving you a little bit of a cheat sheet to judge for yourself.  I am not sure what my preference really is.  I think my favorites are Bucky Irving, Jaylen Wright, MarShawn Lloyd, Braelon Allen, Trey Benson, and Jawhar Jordan.  I guess it just depends on when they are taken.

bummer that the he tore/ruptured his bicep at the senior bowl ... looks to have good vision & some juice
probably will not be able to do anything at the combine, but should be healed up by the start of the season

@ThatJerkDave since you're a Missouri guy what do you think of Darius Robinson?

I honestly don't know what to look for with DL for the new scheme.

I found a cut up against Georgia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMAk0DFXgiY&ab_channel=NFLFilmRoom

and Ohio State: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl0frXat_L8&ab_channel=NFLFilmRoom

here is him at the Senior Bowl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v6BpNK7Tuw&ab_channel=ScottKennedy

They voted him MVP of the week at the Senior Bowl, FWIW.  He looks pretty good to me.  But, like I said, I don't know what the new defense is really looking for.

If GB goes edge again in round one, who would be everyone’s go to at this point?

Latu, Trice and D. Robinson fit the size profile they typically draft. I personally like Chop but I wonder if he is too small for them.

Rakestraw will mix it up.  I think that his highlight reel looks a lot like Jaire's.  Just have to wonder if he can handle 17 games against the top competition at that weight.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hucr65iaOcU&ab_channel=PrinceHighlights

Abrams-Draine is probably even better in coverage.  But even in the highlights he is pretty slight.  Not afraid of contact, and some of these guys are also mentioned in this very thread.  But man, is he small.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bmum2mHOeqQ&ab_channel=KaliforniaHighlights

Looks like he has that downhill, cut at full speed running style that Jones has which I haven't really seen in this year's class.  I like it.

I get the impression that they're going to be running more of a 4-3 style so a guy like Robinson would fit really well, plus he's super versatile (can play on the edge standing up or in 3-point and can also slide inside).  I'm a fan and really like what I've seen of him.  I feel like he could stand to develop more pass rush moves and counters but that's normal and can definitely be learned.

I like Kris Jenkins (6'3", 305) though he is more DE than Edge at that size. He can be a real asset against run-heavy teams and the Packers do need to upgrade run defense. A combo of him on the line and the Packers playing single high safety, allowing a box safety to hover near the LOS should help limit running plays in the upcoming year(s).

Gute does love the high RAS guys and Jenkins is on Feldman's freaks list, partly for his projected high level agility testing, coupled with his awesome strength. He has potential upside as a pass rusher too, which should give him a very good chance of being a real consideration in round 2.

This is not the greatest position of need, but Gute seldom does what others expect and improving the O and D line is seldom a bad idea.

For those on the Cooper LB hype train. Take a listen to the Pocket Presence pod with Kurt Benkert.

Talks to a current packer scout…when they get to the discuss on “unicorns” and fred Warner of SF. It’s easy to see GB wanting to have Quay and Cooper in the middle of the defense.

No matter how many times fans hear someone from the inside say that they always draft the best player available, they are still going to base everything off of what the public believes is their needs. The Packers are going to draft the best player on their board regardless of position like they do every year.

Maybe the casual twitter/FB fan. Most everyone around here is well versed in GB's draft tendencies by now.
