I completely dismiss the Cleveland job because of the tools he was given there, which was little. Thinking about it, I do agree with the Cleveland job. They haven't had a head coach with a winning record on the job there since Marty Schottenheimer. Can't blame Shurmur. Goes to show how in shambles the franchise is nowadays. I'm going to guess that Shurmur does not. Gettelman, per the article, spent 15 years with the Giants before taking the Carolina GM position. Klomp
Here's who I think are the top three coaches on the Giants list: Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia and, if he is fired, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/big-blue-sticking-giants-hiring-gettleman-article-1.3724700

gopherwrestler
Watch for the Giant's to Interview Pat Shurmur Saw what he did with a nobody QB, middle of the road RB's and our receiving corps. Would be fun to see what he could do with Eli Manning/Davis Webb, Saquon Barkley/Wayne Gallman, OBJ, Shepard, Engram.

vike daddy
Dirk Koetter will return as the Bucs head coach in 2018. The Glazer family, which owns the team, made the decision Friday afternoon and general manager Jason Licht informed Koetter that he would be back next season despite a 4-11 record which includes a pair of five-game losing streaks. http://www.tampabay.com/article/20171229/ARTICLE/312299614/1120

vike daddy
If the Vikings (12-3) get a first-round bye for the playoffs, NFL rules would allow Shurmur to interview for a head coaching position next week. Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer is prepared for Shurmur to be in the mix when jobs open. Zimmer: “I think he will. I think he’s done a great job, and I think he deserves another opportunity.” https://www.twincities.com/2017/12/28/with-vikings-offense-humming-pat-shurmur-again-could-be-a-head-coach/

vike daddy
The Oakland Raiders are preparing to pursue ESPN analyst Jon Gruden with an offer so strong it could even include an ownership stake in the team, according to league sources. Gruden will be tempted to accept it, according to sources, but would prefer not to make any decisions until the regular season finishes Sunday and the Raiders make a final determination on their current head coach, Jack Del Rio, who signed a contract extension last summer. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21921030/oakland-raiders-preparing-pursue-jon-gruden-possibly-offer-ownership-stake
vike daddy
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that houston coach Bill O’Brien, who has gotten endorsements from quarterback Deshaun Watson and other Texans players, is likely to remain in Houston. He adds that there are issues to work out regarding his contract, which suggests it’s possible things may yet fall apart due to the extension issue. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/12/31/report-bill-obrien-likely-to-remain-with-texans/
SemperFeist
So, Chicago, Cincinnati, New York, Arizona, Indianapolis, and Detroit are pretty much confirmed as needing a new head coach. With Oakland, Tennessee, and Cleveland still up in the air?
