squire12
Who gets cut by GB that would be most surprising to you? Toure is my pick. I don't think he has shown much about Heath, Wicks to be WR 5. Not sure GB keeps 6 WR

Mazrimiv
Toure might top my "most disappointing" list for camp/pre-season. He didn't do anything terrible, but the problem is he didn't do anything noteworthy at all. Would not be at all surprising to see GB keep 5 WR's and Toure not be on the list. (Watson, Doubs, Reed, Heath, Wicks) A genuine "surprise" cut for me would be Nijman. He has clearly fallen behind Walker, and 4.3M is a lot to pay your 4th OT, especially when releasing him saves all of that cash against the cap. I have to believe GB would be able to find a trade partner if they truly planned to release him.
Old Guy
Toure is a good pick for a surprise cut. Nijman has become a mystery to me this preseason. He does appear to have fallen from grace quite a bit. I'm going to pick one of Bisccia's special team guys who bring nothing to the table as a position player. Don't know which one but I'll put Leavitt down, so I put a name down.

I wouldn't be shocked to see them do some roster manipulation by cutting Patrick Taylor to get someone on IR, then re-signing Taylor, again. We could probably get away with doing that with Tariq Carpenter, one of the Safeties, or whomever is the final CB.

Similar to Hollins as he was a cheap re-sign so teams had a chance to add him previously. Now positional injuries can change that for teams. Obviously could use some seasoning but don’t want him to sit his entire rookie year, either. Edited August 27, 2023 by Refugee
HighCalebR
Surprise cut.. boy I'd be shocked if they cut Ford/Savage. Like half the beat still seems like it's flip a coin between the four for who's cut. I don't really think cap savings for this year has too much to do with cuts, as far as the Nijman situation goes. We're not making a splash trade or signing. I guess you could roll it over, might as well pay for the depth that's in house imo. Be very surprised to see Deguara cut. Otherwise I think most of the commonly discussed guys could go either way. Edited August 27, 2023 by HighCalebR

If you put Wicks on the Tuesday roster, you can IR him and he comes back after 4(?) weeks and you risk a player like Taylor, SJC, Owens getting poached. Now, I am probably the biggest Patrick Taylor guy here, but he doesn't sink or swim the 2023 Packers. And really, none of our back-end roster guys do. Nijman is a lock to make the roster You don't release good pass blocking LTs in this league

Having one or more ST specialists from the likes of Taylor, Leavitt, and/or Carpenter "cut", only to be re-signed after the IR's, is to be expected. It would be a surprise if that didn't happen with at least one of them. Is Wicks the only IR guy, or might there be others?

But I don't know if we need to keep 6 tackles around. Goodson and Nichols have also been hurt for a while. Again, I don't think either of them really warrant that type of move though. Just waive them injured and have an injury settlement and then re-sign them to the PS later.
