Dumb thought of the week:

Is it actually best in the NFC right now to the #2 seed over the #1? This assumption is that you don't fully believe in the Lions, and think the Tier 1 teams are 9ers/Dallas/Eagles (in that order IMO). Philly or Dallas will 100% get the 5th seed, baring obscene circumstances. Thus, whoever gets the #1 team will very likely be matched against against the DAL/PHI in the divisional round, and then likely be matched against the other in the conference championship.

For example, would you rather have a Bye-PHI-DAL for your road to the Superbowl, or potentially something like GB-DET-NFCE team?

As a Niners fan, I want the bye and home field in the NFCCG. Don't care who I'm playing, bring em on

Zach isn't in the wrong here. The Jets are a clown show. If you wanted to bench Zach, you should've done it WEEKS ago - or better yet, just never promote him in the first place?

You can't bring him up to be your starter, then bench him, then 2 weeks later say you want to make another change and go back to him just so he can suck some more.

Like IΒ loatheΒ watching Zach Wilson play Quarterback, but he's 100% right to not want to play for this team again after how they handled this year.

They really should have brought him back this week if they were going to make the change. No one is going to play up Zach vs Ridder and he likely would have won the game for us, but now he's going against a red-hot Texans team with a #2 overall pick who performance the media will certainly wave in front of Zach's face all day.

Zach doesn't fare better than Siemian or Boyle did in this one. Falcons were shutting you guys down all day.

Literally any QB in the league would fair better than Boyle.

Yeah, I'm gonna hold out for more. Media loves to mischaracterize Zach; he's their favorite punching bag.

Why can't the media just leave the kid alone? Feels like he's the only player in the league that gets targeted by the media this way.

Sure, but with the way the Falcons were dominating your OL up front, it wouldn't have mattered in this one. You couldn't get a run game going.Β

Jets are absolute poverty.

Sorry we didn't lose enough to draft TLaw.

That's been true all year though, but Zach's managed to survive better pass rushing defenses and put up more offensive points than Boyle has. And that has less to do with Zach being good and more with Boyle being a total waste of roster space.
