Thought just hit me regarding the d line.. I don't think much help is coming nor was it suppose to. I know they looked into armstead, but It wouldn't surprise me if they just lean hard on Simmons... as they should.. Simmons is a guy Im kinda still weary of.. Yes he's had great games but it seems like we are still waiting on him to have that dominate season, not in a contract year..

It was easy to pay Autry when we were paying Simmon's rookie deal. Now that he's making 20 mill per year, I wouldn't be surprised if they're like hey big fella, you need to make it happen. name me the "other" DT who played next to Aaron Donald, or Chris jones, or even Quinnen willilams? The top guys don't get a running mate next to them. They get an edge, but rarely do teams put a boatload of money into two DT spots.. time for Simmons to step up..

Seen somewhere something mentioning that teams basically agreed to terms on the trade a few days ago, but it's pending on whether or not they can work a deal out with Sneed.

That would explain why we weren’t that active in FA the last few days

If Kansas City could get more than an 3rd next year they would have done it.

It tells me we've offered the best deal to KC. It's Sneed trying to get more money.

Yea seems like sneed is the hold up right now.. he wants to be the highest paid CB in the league. If we offered 4yr 80 mil I wouldn’t go higher then that either

Jaylon Johnson, coming off an All Pro year and being about two years younger, just got 4 years and $76 million. Like you said, 80 million is should be the limit for us and even that honestly may be a slight overpay.

Not sure how a guy who covers the Browns has connections with the Titans, Chiefs, or Sneeds camp but this guy has “reported” the most on it. Not sure if any of it is true.

Having said that, Sneed was one the top guys I wanted going in to FA. Him getting tagged kind of threw a wrench in there. Not sure the money he supposedly wants or the draft pick the Chiefs want, if he’s worth it. Not to mention, I thought I saw somewhere he had knee issues plus barely practiced during the season last year.
