Sweat is a late 2nd.  Those guys were 1st round picks because teams thought there was more pass rushing upside with both.

I hope they don’t think there is pass rush upside with Sweat, but there is definitely upside there IMO. Question is, what do the Steelers think? I personally want the two big uglies in the middle, one on each side of the ball, early. The only two questions or obstacles to that…are RT and CB.

I like him. I'm not exactly sure he fits our defense, but I think he's going to be a good pro. He seems like an interior guy, but doesn't seem big enough to do that for us. I'm not sure he's long enough to play farther out than a 3-tech. But, I haven't seen his arm length and all that.

I’m just gonna call it now. Jackson Powers-Johnson. You are a Steeler. I think we move back to 25 to nab him. But I’m calling my shot.

I'd be pretty pumped if that happens, ESPECIALLY if we trade back and still get him. I'd be pretty happy with him at 20.

Long as Tom/Khan show up for his pro day.

Yes, that would be the way to go, if trading down was realistic. I hope it is! It’s like we are all realizing that ‘ideal play out scenario’ at once. Outside of an elite QB, an elite center is what will likely improve this team the quickest, especially under Smith’s system. They are said to love Frazier, but I think there is a significant falloff from Powers to Frazier, not to mention some degree of medical concern.

I bet they will be. I think they'll probably also be looking at Nix.

Is break my TV if they select Nix. Pickett is two levels better than that check down garbage QB. Truly not a fan of that guy's play!

We may have to worry about OC Powers being drafted at 17 by the Jags. We may be left with a gambling choice on Mims, which wouldn’t be ideal IMO. Also, Kazora writes a nice article breaking down the DL options…doesn’t think many fit here.

I dont know about "two levels better", but I would hate it as much as I hated taking Pickett...and even more so because it would be twice in a row we desperately reached on a QB that should probably been a 3rd rd pick at best.
