How much would it take for Pitt to lock up Skenes this offseason for 8 years + options?

Assuming Skenes doesn't regress badly, you take the contract Spencer Strider just signed a few years ago and add to that.  Seriously doubt you're buying more than year, two tops of his FA period.

Great way to come out of the All-Star break, taking 2 out of 3 from the Rangers on the road, with strong starts from Burnes, Rodriguez and even one from Dean Kremer.  Bullpen performed well, offense did well Friday and Saturday.

The next 10 days will be interesting to watch as far as trades go.

James Paxton DFA’d by the Dodgers, clearing a spot for Kershaw and Glasnow later in the week

Weird decision on the surface, as they are hurting for innings and surprisingly Paxton has made every start this season. Not exactly like Kershaw and Glasnow are locks to step right back in and be fine health wise.

When you dig in deeper though, Paxton's advanced numbers are terrible across the board and he's only 100 inning shy right now of his highest number of IP in his entire career. So seems the Dodgers believe they've already gotten his most effectiveness this season.

Albert Pujols?

nah..  Judge already surpasses him despite of embarrassing high K rate.

However if we wash Barry Bonds off due to steriod use then we can say Judge is best offensive threat since Pujols.  Pujols had best seasons during Bonds' time and 3 years after Bonds hanging up the cleats.

I disagree.

Judge's peak offensive output is better than Pujols, but Pujols was more durable/consistent in his prime. Plus a guy like Judge can have one of those 0-20, 15 strikeout runs at the worst times.
