Not sure about his fit in our scheme(but knowing us we like to zag when every expects a zig). Great in press man despite his relatively smaller size.

This feels like someone Staley may want to get cute with

He is 6'0 186, that is not 5'11 190

Eric Crocker was saying he has perfect CB size.  The only thing he seems to lack is elite long speed.

I like him more than Rosengarten, shrug.  Maybe not as much of a need, but still.

Can you elaborate?

I think his press-man skills are overrated.

He wasn't even he best pure cover guy on his team. Cypress is much better imo.

I see alot of holding and grabbing that will get flagged at the next level.

He looks slow on film. Don't think he can run with most WR1

Reminds me alot like Yiadom in that regard.

And he's strictly a press-man CB at this point.

It's going to take some work for him to be competent zone player.

Alot of similarities to Thomas in that regard and we saw how much of a struggle it was for him.

Just not a big fan of his game.

But he's a Niner now so we'll see...

Yeah, if he's going to fail, it's gonna be because the grabbiness doesn't translate. Feels high risk, high reward to me. But I really like Puni and Pearsall so I'm a happier camper than usual. We've ticked off the RayRay replacement that can eventually succeed Deebo on the roster. And a Feliciano/McKivitz/Banks replacement. And shot a shot at a Ward long term successor. These are at least sensible things.

Yeah, when watching his highlights a lot of them look like holds or PIs in the NFL. Granted, he can work on that, but I love his aggressiveness especially tackling and run support. He reminds me a bit of Lenoir just from the fire, not for an actual player comp.
