Outside of Hicks and Smith, it’s not a very impressive list. Sure they are cheap and have contributed, but they are all replacement level players. Not a bad start, would rather add bargain free agents and build through the draft than trying to overpay.

Kinda hard to see where you’re coming from on this one.

You can't have 53 players on a roster of all above replacement players.

Which NFL team is the most analytically advanced?

1. Cleveland Browns (10)
2. Baltimore Ravens (4)
3. Philadelphia Eagles (3)
T-4. Atlanta Falcons (1)
T-4. Buffalo Bills (1)
T-4. Houston Texans (1)
T-4. Minnesota Vikings (1)

Kwesi's team must have voted for themselves.

We've talked about this in the forum plenty, but it looks like others are noticing it as well.

At this point, we might be rooting for Asamoah, Nailor and Evans to be good role players for us. Maybe Evans ends being okay as a starter?

I could see Nailor taking a jump like Osborn once he gets a chance.

It's tough wasting the 12th overall pick like that

I guess if you can find 1 or 2 starters in a draft, that's something to be proud of.

In 2020 we managed to get 3 starters in JJ, Cleveland, Metellus (who basically starts) and a fine contributor in Wonnum.

In 2021 we got Darrisaw and Bynum with Jones contributing.

Even if the 2022 draft is a bust, we've already got solid contributions from Addison in 2023.

Now, this upcoming draft will be telling for KAM. It could make or break him.

Evans is starting and playing well. Too early to close the book on Cine, too. Drafts should be evaluated by what happens at the end of a rookie deal, not at the beginning - how many players were good enough to be extended or sign a second multi year contract here or elsewhere.

Meh. Barring a Poles like catastrophe in culture, Kwesi probably gets another 2-3 years before any discussion of a hot seat begins. No team hits on all of their draft picks. Not even the Chiefs or Eagles. This year's class looks like it might get significant production from its top 4 picks. Hall looks like a guy poised to take over the backup job from Mullens. The only 100% miss was McBride, and not many 7th rounders work out. Even if all we get is Addison and Blackmon, that's a good return on 6 picks. However, Ward and Roy look like they'll stick for a while.

Being a first-time GM was always going to make it a little tough on the first draft, because he really didn't know the players already on the roster or the schemes that the coaching staff was going to run.  I'd be more concerned about his drafts from here on out because he's been around a couple of years now.  In Spielman's first 2 drafts, he did manage to get AD, Robison and John Sullivan (I guess you could include Sidney Rice too if you want, even though he really wasn't around long-term), but drafted Tyrell Johnson, JD Booty, and the greatest #84, Aundrae Allison.

Therefore, if we get successes out of Addison, Mekhi Blackmon and anyone else out of this draft, I think we'd be on a good path.
