BroncoBruin
The Seahawks genuinely might be better off using a tight end to chip on every play than keep whoever they have at RT in the game. Great VJ half but their RT might be the worst player I’ve ever seen. And how about Zach Allen? Edited September 8 by BroncoBruin

That said, Bo, just like virtually every other rookie thats ever played is not NFL ready in week 1. Even Stroud last year was only able to lead his team to 3 FGs. First start is always tough.

Just so strange cause we saw that never in preseason There was nothing to see in PS. You can't really count our #1's VS GB's eventual cuts. He's just seeing things he's never seen before and trying to deal with it.
grizmo78
I'm really interested to see how Sean adjusts for the 2nd half. Seems like he started the first half not limiting the offense at all and calling it the way he would with any other veteran QB. Nix hasn't played well or shown he's ready for that yet, especially against a great defensive play caller. It's time for an adjustment. You have the lead, your defense (the line in particular) is crushing their offense, it's time to lean on the run game and simplify the game.

Hopefully that last series will calm him a bit. Finally some points. Our D is absolutely lights out as are our ST's. Those two may be real fun to watch. Lets see how the 2nd half starts. Problem is, McDonald is probably going to stuff the run and force Nix to beat us in the air.
Cutler06
18 minutes ago, grizmo78 said: Disagree. OLine has been doing pretty good. Nix isn’t playing on time and is being completely confused by the hawks defense. He’s not playing with any anticipation at all. Where's the rungame, are the RB's inept or just no holes ? Seattle is loading the box and playing the run every 1st down or 2nd and medium. Rightfully so
AnAngryAmerican
I don’t know what Seattle did at half but their OL just dominated our front 7 on that drive. Yikes.

Looks like it’s a specific run play (that inside zone from shotgun). They ran that like 4 times, all with a lot of success.
paul-mac
Sean Payton’s ego is so big that he moved on from a top 15 statistical QB last year, took a massive dead money hit and spent the 12th overall pick on a QB that most had a day two grade on. Inevitable that our defense would eventually stop being able to hold the entire team together.

Let's not pretend like Russ is/was ACTUALLY a top 15 QB.

Maybe not, but he’s far better than Nix at the moment. Of course we hope Nix will improve.

We needed to move on from Wilson - the jury is still out on Nix and will be for some time. Elway went 1-8 for 14 yards, four sacks and INT and an intentional grounding penalty on his debut before he was pulled from the game.
