Week 5: VIKINGS (4-0) vs. Jets (2-2)

The Jets want to run the football and will do it a lot so they can play action off of it.  Braelon Allen is a beast and really could have easily been a 2nd round pick if he did not have fumbling issues on Wisconsin and worked out more in the pre draft process.  He has legit size and speed and arguably has been as good as any rookie RB this year in the NFL even thought he is only in a backup role currently.

Their D is legit but the edges are weak because Reddick is holding out and Johnson is hurt for the season.  So they have McDonald who is quick but thin and so so against the run and Michael Clemons who is just a backup.  So the Vikings should be able to take advantage of that and should ideally attack the safeties which are far weaker than their CBs.  But Tony Adams is really a former CB anyway so he can cover but going over the middle or using the TEs in the middle of the field will help.

Also hopefully we do not go up 28-0 so early on, that did hurt the team's motivation and would for any team, just as Alabama and how they let up against Georgia after such a crazy lead.  Leads are great but not that early in the game when the other team is talented enough to get back into things offensively.

This is going to be a lot more competitive game than some may think.   I can understand Jets fans frustrations, but they're not a weak team.   They are one missed field goal from being 3-1.  How many times have we had that thought about a FG?

The defense is legit.  Rodgers has beaten the Vikings 17 times, roughly 75%, of the games he's played against them.   He is old now, but that arm still works.  The intriguing part of the Jets is the offensive line.   Will the play well?  Can Flores and and the front-7 keep up the havoc?

I like the Vikes to win this one 24-23 . . . Skol!

There's a pretty decent chance for rain in the late afternoon in London. Kick off is 2:30 pm local time, so let's hope the weather holds off until after the game.

what's the field surface been like historically? for football, that is.
